The medical community has relied on our quality service over 10 years. We continue to maintain equipment in over 95 institutions covering a large Chicago and suburban area. We provide more flexibility in service contracts than other service providers and offers support designed to enhance the Environment of Care. Our field technicians have been trained by leading medical equipment manufacturers and educational institutions requiring fewer manufacturer service contracts. All services records are maintained at the Chicago Biomedical Services Corporation office as well as in the equipment management Software Program and available at the customer’s request. All repair, service testing and documentation meets or exceeds requirement as established by JCAHO, HFAP, AAA, CAP as well as other state and federal regulatory agencies. We will provide on-site representation when requested for all state, local or federal inspections. This service is provided at no additional cost.

Present fiscal constraints have created layoffs, cutbacks and yet facilities are most often required to increase the useful life of existing medical equipment. WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIVE EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT?

Comprehensive Equipment Management provides an experienced on-site manager and a team of experienced equipment maintenance specialist who provide high quality services of all your equipment needs. Preventive maintenance, remedial and emergency repairs, OEM and other vendor services, personnel requirements and all related/required documentation is provided. This includes tracking of all services required or requested from conception to completion as well as the maintenance of an accurate and complete equipment.

Electrical Safety and Visual Inspections:

Chicago Biomedical Services Corporation performs testing on all listed equipment for chassis leakage current, ground wire integrity, ground impedance and proper voltage polarity and perform an overall inspection of the external surface, power cord, plug etc. for possible problems or hazards. All tests are performed in accordance with State and Local Regulatory Agency standards.

Limited Service and Preventive Maintenance Inspections:

Electrical Safety and Visual Inspections are performed. In addition, the following will be accomplished on all equipment listed in inventory: An inspection of all exterior surfaces for physical damage or abnormal wear is completed. Verification that all controls and indicators are mechanically sound and operational. Inspections of all external fuses for correct value and type. Inspections of the power cord plug and any external cables for deterioration, cuts or bare wires. Internal inspection of the equipment is performed to determine of any wiring and component deterioration caused by heat or age stresses are evident. Mechanical integrity of assemblies by intersection of belts gears, pulleys, cables and other drive components is checked to determine proper adjustment and abnormal wear. Internal assemblies are cleaned and lubricated as needed and units are calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer specifications. Cleaning of all external surfaces and recording all measurements is conducted. All equipment is properly labelled as required. Functionality of the instruments is verified and all controls and/or switches are checked for proper operation. All CRT, digital displays, meter and alarm operations are checked to verify functionality in accordance with specifications.
